Camel Safari

Great fun! Me and my mates took this tour and we got taken to the zoo and a canarian lunch too (delicious!). A bit uncomfortable at the start but you soon get used to it, seeing your friends on camels is just hilarious!

This is the former capital of the island and makes for a really interesting day trip with the archaeological museum documenting the past settlers and the cathedral and sacred art museum offer a more cultural tour of the past.

where, when, how, web
FV 30 to the centre of the island, you'll probably have to drive there.

La Conception Botanical Gardens

My friends and I were baking on the beach so we decided to go to the Botanical Gardens. The foresty bits were perfect, lovely and cool, and the variety and beauty of the flowers was amazing. Loved the sculptures along the way too.

Near the end of the route 2 bus, just off the road to madrid (not far!)

Awesome place! Really friendly and the best pleace to try local wine, they are happy to talk for ages about the wines and they bottle it there for you to take home too. My wife and I went back on, er, several occasions.

Centro de Arte Contemporaneo de Malaga

My boyfriend and I loved this modern art museum. The building is fabulous too, it was the old wholesalers market and the industrial/medina mix is apparent. We enjoyed both the permanent and temporary collections and the spaces were great.

where, when, how, web
between the Avenida del Comandante Benítez and the Calle del Alemania, just behind the port area
