Not a huge place but really interesting. The artefects are great and give a good history into the past of the region, particularly liked the mosaics as well as all the roman stuff. It's set in an old convent so the building are also a sight.

This is the closest beach to Faro and it's always been quite quiet when i've visited. A lovely peaceful place with warm wter and nice sand, but not many amenities there so make sure you take everything you need for the day.

I visited this several times on my trip to Faro and was really impressed. I took a boat tour and the guide was really knowledgeable, we saw loads of wildlife, and the salt flats are an incredible sight!

Me and my mates had an ace time white water rafting, although it was a bit terrifying when one of the guys fell in! the river takes you though some stunning places and the guys running it are great.

TURTLES! This is a gorgeous beach with the added bonus of being a protected turtle area so you can see turtles from time to time.
