Tabarca Island

posted by xbastion on 22 October 2010 at 15:30

We took a day trip to this beautiful island and loved it here. There is so much wildlife and the snorkelling was totally amazing. A really great expedition, i really envy the people who get to live here all the time!

Alicante Town Hall

An unexpected find on our way back from lunch to the beach, we went in on a whim because of the amazing grand front and towers. The interior continued in fine style and you can find the marker for sea level in spain that all levels are measured from!!

Cuevas del Canelobre

posted by glauffer on 22 October 2010 at 15:27

Just a short trip away from Alicante is the hidden gem of the Canelobre caves in Busot. With high-vaulted ceilings and super-weird rock formations this is almost an otehr-worldly experience and one i'll be sure to remember for a long time.

About 25km north and inland, it's really best to drive if you can, and allow plenty of time as some of the roads aren't so great.

Little Italy

posted by qjackson on 22 October 2010 at 15:04

Every time I go to New York I seem to be drawn to the food and architecture of Little Italy, it's like I just can't stay away, and often end up travelling here for dinner even when i've not been in the area. I've tried loads of places and been pleased with them all, I don't like to recommend them though it seems like favouritism you'll just have to go and try for yourself!

Lower Manhanttan, next to chinatown, metro canal street
