I think the boatman took a fancy to my friend and I as we got a 2-hour long private tour of this valley (only accessible by boat) as well as lunch. It was just amazing how many butterflies we saw, and the diversity and beauty of the species was astonishing. a great trip!

Not being a morning person I was somewhat put out when all my friends decided we had to be at the beach at dawn to try and spot a turtle...but it was actually totally worth it (not something i say often) when we saw several making their way back out to sea! peace and nature!

Mud, mud, glorious mud...it really was an odd feeling, although rather pleasant, wallowing in the mud in dalyan. my boyfriend and I wanted to give it a go and since the mud here if famous seemed like a good place. after, you have to let it dry in the sun which makes you feel a bit like a cake baking in the oven, but you really do feel great afterwards!

I had the best ever hamam at this lovely and relaxing spa, followed by a dip in the gorgoues thermal natural water pool. We were just passing through on a road trip getting ready to fly home and it left me with that holiday-relaxation feeling for days after, only spoilt by rain and communting.

These 16th century walls are still partly in tact and I love to walk around the walls looking for buildings of a similar age and try to imagine what it would have been like when the city was all walled in, and even under siege. there are plenty of intersting things to see when you follow the walls! free and fun!!
