This museum has plenty to offer fans and non-fans alike. With plenty of famous paintings to look at (as well as some non-van gogh paintings) my friends weren't too bored and I painstakingly looked at every single exhibit and loved every moment of it, what a treat! of course, lunch was on me afterward but that's another story.
where, when, how, web
Paulus Potterstraat 7, in the museum district and just off the museumplein, the big bit of space in from of the national concert hall.

My family stayed at this great place and we all got into kitesurfing thanks to the knowledge, enthusiasm and most of all patience of the instructors. I'm already looking on ebay for my own kit and looking forward to doing much more kitesurfing, hopefully back in sharm!
where, when, how, web
Nabq, north sharm, really close to the airport and all the main places.

As experienced divers, my wife and I had heard about the blue hole, a natural really deep hole in the coral just north of sharm. we had to try it and it really was beautiful, but also a bit terrifying. certainly an unforgettable experience, but you do have to be experienced and be able to prove it to go any deeper than 30m.

Dahab, 100km north of sharm el sheikh, just follow the sharm-dahab road, there's so few roads it's pretty easy!

My friends and I took the advice of our snorkeling instructor and took an evening camel ride into the desert. It was stunning, and we even got fed some delicious food by the local Bedouins, who pointed out stars and constellations to us too!

We were introduced by our instructor and the guys met us at the beach so i'm not quite sure where you'd go to find them, sorry!

My man and me took a day trip to the coloured canyons and it was awesome. the rocks are so maky different colours and candy striped. if your guide is good, like ours, he'll point out the best bits you might miss if you go alone. og and definitely go early, we went quite late and so were walking when it was really hot. enjoyable, but sweaty!
where, when, how, web
you can get there by driving i guess, it's quite a way north of sharm, but there are so many day trips on offer.
