On out last trip to amsterdam we stayed in this hotel. It's small and pretty basic but the staff were great, the breakfast was good and it was in a quiet location but really near to all the main sights.

Me and my man stumbled across this beautiful little place. There's a pretty garden surrounded by lovely houses, including the oldest house in Amsterdam. Just near the main shopping hub it was a serene treat.

Nearest tram stop spui. follow spui (not spuistraat) away from the canal and take a left down gedempte begijnensloot and it's signposted

It was an adventure just getting to this lovely mosque, which made the trip pretty memorable! The mosque itself was lovely too and such a gorgeous location.

where, when, how, web
You can only go at low tide, and walk the causeway once it's open. It's in the worli area on the west coast, quite north of the city.

Jehangir Art Gallery

My mum and I went here having heard it's one of India's most famous galleries and we weren't disappointed. What a great collection of comtemporary and past pieces and a lovely atmosphere. The cafe is an artists' haunt and serves pretty great stuff.

where, when, how, web
In the art area of the city, towards the south of Mahatma Ghandi Road, just by Prince of Wales Museum

Marine Drive Chowpatty Beach

My boyfriend and I loved this beach, it's pretty, has great views, feels like proper india and you can try all sorts of indian snacks from the food stalls right on the beach, no need to move all day just chill out and watch the world go by. If you can, stay til the evening and watch the lights come on and the beautiful sunset.

where, when, how, web
The main beach in back bay, south(ish) of mumbai
