The Guggenheim museum located right on the grand canal in Venice. Take a breather from looking at some of the world's finest works of art by stepping out onto the Marino Marini Terrace to gaze out at the water. As an art viewing experience the Guggenheim in Venice is second to NONE. You will be inspired here. The permanent collection is excellent especially the Nasher Sculpture Garden. The museum has some fantastic temporary exhibits too (I saw Coming of Age. America Art) Aside from the art, Peggy Guggenheim's story and relationship to Venice is fascinating, and of course, the fact that you can walk out the doors of the museum, and have a fantastic Italian meal on the streets of Venice just ad to the experience.

Beach House at Dundarave Pier

This restaurant serves the best seafood I've ever experienced.. and I've eaten at some good spots in Tokyo where seafood is religion! Add to that a fantastic wine list and views of the water and you have a great night out in Vancouver. I really appreciated the service as well as the fact that the outdoor area was screened by glass to keep the gust of wind at bay. This is a "must return to spot" for me!

Ultimate views of Sydney and harbor. Best done at twilight or night time, these guided ascents of Sydney's famous bridge will blow you away. I have a fear of heights, but was put at ease by the fantastic staff!! A fantastic experience
