Yes it can get very touristy here, but with good reason. Playa de las Americas has some incredibly beautiful beaches with pristine sand. They're all very well kept too and very clean.

Tenerife's aqua park is a great day out for the whole family. There are lots of rides to go on and our kids had a really good time on these. There are also dolphin shows which are not to be missed.

The Pyramids at Guimar are an incredible sight and clear evidence of ancient civilizations at Tenerife. There's a museum here too with some good displays about the history of the island.

The Teide National Park is quite extraordinarily beautiful and no trip to Tenerife is complete without seeing it. An absolute must is a visit to the extinct volcano crater. Its absolutely vast and can be accessed by cable car.

There's such a range of things to see and do here its definitely worth setting a day aside to see. There are shows with whales, dolphins and manatees, circus performances and a couple of rides too. A really wonderful day out.
