I think a trip to Lisbon needs a walking tour around the Parque Eduardo VII. Its incredibly well kept and the Belvedere at the top has some incredible views over the centre of town.

We'd never heard of this museum before we went to Lisbon but it really is a world class museum. There are plenty of Greek and Ancient Egyptian relics as well as an incredible collection of paintings.

This is a really lovely, historical neighbourgood in Athens. Its a great spot to escape from the traffic and have a cool drink and a bite to eat. There's also some good shopping to be done here.

If the Acropolis hasn't fully satisfied your appetite, I can thoroughly recommend a trip to the Athens Archaeological Museum which is housed in a pristine building and is really educational.

We just stumbled accross this place when we were feeling hot and hungry and it was the answer to a prayer! There wasn't a tourist in sight and the food was harty traditional Greek fare.
