Talamanca is- despite its close proximity to Ibiza town- pleasantly under developed. The large quantity of seaweed might have something to do with this but if you can put up with this, you'll really enjoy the golden sands, peace and quiet, warm water and lots of restaurants that will serve you on the beach.

Playa d'en Bossa Beach is not for the faint hearted and hardly a tranquil, relaxing place to hang out. There is always a massive crowd here and it can be heard to find a sun lounger. The bars at the back of the beach will generally blare their music out onto the beach and the partying can start quite early. However, if you're prepared to just throw yourself into it, this can be a lot of fun.

This is a sweet little beach resort in the East of the island. It's perfectly quiet and has a really attractive golden sandy beach. The drive down takes you along a windy cliff top road with some great views and beautiful pine forests.

It may be the bane of Dubliners but in reality it has been at the heart of a regeneration of central Dublin and O'Connell street. It's 120 metres high and is an incredibly slender stainless steel needle. At night it looks really nice illuminated.

Phoenix Park is the largest enclosed urban garden in Europe and sits just on the periphery of Dublin. The People's Gargen is worth a look as it has some lovely flower beds and the obelisk to the Duke of Wellington is the most famous landmark in the park. The Park was initially designed for hunting purposes and you can still find deer grazing in the grounds.
