Old Town

posted by kholts on 25 August 2010 at 14:39

This is a lovely place. There are some really narrow streets with old, whitewashed buildings pressing in on you from all sides. The old Moorish walls are still standing in certain places and are a really romantic sight.

Titanic Beach Spa and Aqua Park

posted by bfischer on 25 August 2010 at 14:34

The Titanic beach spa does what it says on the tin. The water park is great fun and suitable for all ages with an area especially for todlers. However, I know I'm not the first to have found issue with some of the guests, especially a rather agressive crowd of russians who frequent the hotel all year round. The nightclub is also apparently a disturbance to many guests though I couldn't personally hear anything from my room.

Movenpick Hotel

posted by xunk on 25 August 2010 at 14:24

We splashed out on a stay here becasue we'd heard such great things and we really were not dissapointed. The hotel is really impressive, when you arrive, you notice the lagoons and landscaped gardens surrounding the hotel. The architecture is all very tasteful and the food is delicious in all of the many restaurants.

Elf Leila wa Leil

posted by bhoward on 25 August 2010 at 14:19

This is a really magical place to stay and quite unique amongst hotels in Hurghada. Its decorated to look like something out of Aladdin (elf leila wa leil means 1001 nights). The beach is a 2 minute shuttle ride away, there are loads of swimming pools in the hotel and some really friendly staff.

Grand Resort

posted by wrobinson on 25 August 2010 at 14:15

I can highly recommend the Grand Resort in Hurghada where I've stayed a couple of times. It's all decorated in a traditional Moorish style which is quite charming. Staff are friendly and rooms are cleaned daily and towels replaced. There are two pools and a selection of restaurants as well as a nice little strip of beach.
