Madison Square

By far and away my favourite bit of New York. The architecture, the shops and the wonderful park all combine to make it the ideal spot for a bit of sightseeing, chilling out, or just for grabbing lunch in the thick of it.

As Carrie's favourite place in NY I couldn't pass up the chance to go. Great place and what an astonishing building! The Picassos were the best things we saw.

Belvedere Castle

At first glance it could be the famous disney castle as a flag flutters from its pointed tip! On top of vista rock, this stone castle really catches the eye, and the views from the nature observatory and tower are great, just mind your step on the castle's winding staircase!

Little Italy

Every time I go to New York I seem to be drawn to the food and architecture of Little Italy, it's like I just can't stay away, and often end up travelling here for dinner even when i've not been in the area. I've tried loads of places and been pleased with them all, I don't like to recommend them though it seems like favouritism you'll just have to go and try for yourself!

Roosevelt Island

My parents are dedicated architecture lovers and I'm always getting dragged to dull places to look at the outside of things, but I really enjoyed Roosevelt Island and its traffic free roads. I even got into the architecture vibe a bit.

where, when, how, web
in the east river between manhattan and brooklyn, the tram is the only (well, the best) way to arrive!
