When my BF surprised me with a trip to NY I knew we had to find time in our schedule to go here! It's an amazing museum with so much to see, so we had to cherry-pick the bits we wanted the most, but I still feel like it was well worth going.

Amazing exhibition of artefacts from the ruined city, including a great film showing the story of mount vesuvius's eruption and the destruction. The body casts were a big hit with my son and I just loved the whole thing, but the frescoes were my favourite bit.

aka The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I couldn't go to NY and not go in here, amazing place, such a great collection, what a privilege to be able to visit such an iconic museum.

aka The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Without a doubt this is the top museum in NY. So much to see, the art covers all media and the vast majority of human history, without having that we-stole-all-this feel of the British Museum!! The Robert Lehman Collection was spectacular but I just can't pick out a highlight!
