Metropolitan Museum of Art

When my BF surprised me with a trip to NY I knew we had to find time in our schedule to go here! It's an amazing museum with so much to see, so we had to cherry-pick the bits we wanted the most, but I still feel like it was well worth going.

Empire State Building

This iconic building was top of my must-do list when I went to New York. Yes, the crowds were pretty bad, and it's not cheap, but you can't miss it, can you?

We didn't book our tickets in advance so we had no choice but to just look up and the great lady, but it was really cool just to be there. If you want to see the views you'll have to be organised so make sure you book ahead!

MoMA

The Museum of Modern Art went straight in right near the top of the best museums i've been to! So many famous artworks i've been dying to see, and a great collection all round too. Seeing Van Gogh's Starry Night and one of Monet's huge waterlillies was the absolute highlight of my trip.

Just saying the words makes you want to shop, and shop we did when we were in the big apple! This was our favourite road for shopping/browsing and people watching. We also found the time to marvel at the gothic creation that is St. Patrick's Cathedral.
