If you're just on a short weekend break to Newcastle, you probably won't have time to visit Hadrian's Wall but if you do find time try and make the short journey there. We managed to find the point where scenes from the Robin Hood Film were shot!

Dundrum Castle is located just outside of Newcastle, and is a very fun site to visit, even if it is just off the beaten path. My son really liked visiting Dundrum, as it was in a better state than many others in the area, we especially liked climbing to the top of the tower and enjoying the panoramic view.

This is a local landmark building. It is beautiful to tour and explore. You could be here for days. It is also a working church still today that focuses on the community and education, plus preservation of the rich history of the area for centuries.
