Amazing place this palace-cum-dungeons, with a fiery history! Be sure to speak to a guide to get the whole picture! Wonderful old buildings too, Paris seems really great at holding on to its heritage.

Wow. Paris has so much to see! This museum is partly housed in a Roman bathhouse, and partly in a medieval hotel, and it's completely engrossing. Highlights for me are the archtecture and the Lady with a Unicorn tapestry series.

Housed in the Centre Georges Pompidou this gallery is a truly cultural experience all round. Architecture and art combine! I love it here. Don't forget to see the amazing views as well!

If, like me you are bound to be dragged to at least one shopping mall during your time in Paris by a shopaholic girlfriend or wife, try to make sure that it's the Galeries Lafayette which is really the Selfridges of Paris with some beautiful architecture, design and some stunning window dressing.

A top tip of a french friend of mine was to give the Louvre a miss if you're pushed for time and head to the Petit Palais instead, so I did, and was very pleased. Amazing exterior and interior and the museum of fine arts has more than enough great stuff for you to feel satisfied.
