A top tip of a french friend of mine was to give the Louvre a miss if you're pushed for time and head to the Petit Palais instead, so I did, and was very pleased. Amazing exterior and interior and the museum of fine arts has more than enough great stuff for you to feel satisfied.

Relatively quiet, Morreau's house is a weird and wonderful experience. Its absolutely packed with canvases in varying stages of completion and all displaying the wealth of the great man's bizarre imagination.

Not that it needs an introduction, but the Louvre is simply the best museum in the world. from the Egyptians to the the 19th century, its all in there, if you can avoid the stampede to see the Mona Lisa you're doing well!

This was my favourite Gallery in Paris. It houses some incredible 19th century French Art but its really the building that makes the experience- an enormous converted railway station
