This is a tea lovers' Mecca. They stock different teas from all over the world and even beginning to choose one from the vast list is daunting. They do great cakes and andwiches too and all served in beautiful surroundings evocative of th British East India Company or something of the like with colonial decor and flannel suited waiters.

Paris's Number One tea room facing the Jardin des Tuileries on Rue du Rivoli. Angelina’s offers amazing afternoon tea, cakes and incredible hot chocolate l’Africain, smooth, rich and decadently delicious hot chocolate that you can take away if you are short of time.

This place is a paradise for tea lovers. It's stacked floor to ceiling with teas from all over the world. Interior decoration is exquisite and the Waiters' colonial style uniforms are a great touch.

You need to see the art of the world as it should be seen as you mingle with the people who share these treasures with the world.

It's the cafe from Amelie! And it's in my favourite area of Paris, Montmartre. Have to confess to having been a complete tourist and following the Amelie trail, from the Carousel up the stairs to the Sacre Coeur, even past the grocers where the "tete d'oignon" worked! It was really surreal to sit there with a beer and remember the cafe-bar as it was in the film. It hasn't changed much at all, but it also doesn't feel like a tourist spot, with locals passing time just as the actors in the film did.
