I'd been to Paris several times before I realised how close this famous greenspace was to the Eiffel Tower area of the city! Now every time I go I love to spend the day here walking, eating and enjoying life.

Champs Elysees

Such a famous road, I wandered up and down here a couple of times on my Paris holiday. The shops are pretty swish and the Jardin des Champs Elysees were my favourite bit.

Louvre

It's huge and busy but it's really one of the must-dos of going to Paris. The Mona Lisa is quite tiny but definitely worth seeing over everybody's heads and there's so much to see it's worth spending 5 minutes to make a plan with your viewing buddies to cut out some aimless wandering time!!

Eiffel Tower

We didn't go right to the top, but the views from the first viewing platform were pretty great! It was a good compromise i think between the views and queueing even more, which we seemed to do a lot of! I had no idea where the business district was!

Notre Dame

I was astonished to find this spectacular cathedral was free, since the last time I wnet into St. Paul's I was outraged at the cost there. Fabulous place, the details are amazing, although I didn get to go up the tower like quasimodo as i'd totally run out of euros.

ile de la cite, you can't really miss it but it's best to approach it from the south side to get some great views across the river
