I think this might just be the most stunning man-made place that i've ever been, I could have stayed all day and kept walking round and discovering more bits. As a slightly odd bonus, you can also learn all about Omar Sharif, who owned the place for less than a day before he lost it in a card game!

I can not begin to say how beautiful this hotel was. While the rooms are a little old fashoned they do provide comfort and a laid back style. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are extremely nice and I could of just spent the entire vacation there. I did not want to leave the hotel but occasional ventured off close by to the local stores and restaurants which were very nice as well. The beach is right around the corner, but the hotel pool is enough to satisfy itself.

Lansarote is the Eastern most part of the Canary Islands. If you are looking for sun, clear water, volcanic landscape, excellent cuisine and a warm welcome, look no further. Here's a tip: try booking your trip in the off-season. Hotels greatly reduce their rates from November-April.
