A delightful little Palazzo with a small but excellent art collection fairly crammed into a couple of rooms! Don't forget to look around the rest of the Palazzo, the architecture is worth the entry alone, and watch out for artistic tricks too!

This is one of the biggest and most popular piazzas in Rome and is a lovely place to hang out, especially at dusk. There is some beautiful baroque architecture here especially the Saint Agnese Church. There are usually lots of stalls here in the day and street performers in the evening. There are also loads of great restaurants and bars here as well as some top nighclubs in the area

We went to see the Colliseum during the day and aside from the sheer scale of the place had that familiar 'seen it a million times in photographs' underwhelmed feeling. We went back at night though and the transformation was absolutely stunning. The lighting makes the sheer scale of the place seem absolutely extraordinary and the size becomes even more pronounced. Definitely make sure you see it lit up.

I simply love it in here, the huge domed roof, the circular opening at the top letting in the light (or the rain if you're more unlucky) and the decor inside. The square outside is a popular hangout for tourists and locals alike and there is a great party atmosphere in the evenings.

This is a really majestic church on the Piazza Navone. We just stopped here to get out of the Sun on a hot day but ended up spending quite a while looking at the sculptures and paintings inside.
