Piazza Navona

posted by rdimeling on 8 October 2010 at 12:51

This is such a romantic place to come at night, with pretty lights and the fountains. I've eaten at the resturants here several times and never had a bad meal. The history of the square is really interesting too, long and thin it used to be used for chariot racing and also was flooded for boat races!

La Taverna dei Monti

posted by DVC_Chris on 19 August 2009 at 23:39

While Rome has many great restaurants, I really enjoy La Taverna dei Monti when I am visiting the city. While it is a bit touristy, they have everything that tourists think of when they think of an Italian restaurant, fresh food, and a friendly staff, and décor right out of Roman Holiday.

Holiday in Italy, Rome

posted by HolidayRoma on 16 August 2009 at 16:28

Hi everybody! What can be said about ancient Rome? Man, is it OLD!!! It's just amazing to be standing in the Colosseum and to know that a very sophisticated (if brutal) society watched complexly staged events there almost 2000 years ago. And in the Roman Forum, ancient Rome's downtown, orators were orating, judges were judging and Romans were buying and selling goods and services nearly 2500 years ago! Even more amazing, the Forum was almost completely buried until Napoleon's time (mid 1800s). The tops of columns and arches peaked out from the ground and after being buried for 2300 years somebody decided it might be a good idea to find out what was underneath the dirt. The Forum is a public area today so local Romans go there with their takeaway lunch or sit and read or tourist-watch while tourists like us marvel at the civilization of such an ancient society. MUSEUMS We had wonderful weather the first several days with clear blue skies and crisp temperatures made warmer by the sun. We did all of the outdoor activities on those days. The latter part of the week turned very wet and colder so we hit the museums and Vatican City and some ancient churches. Our apartments are located in the center of Rome or near a few meters from the beautiful beaches of Sardinia All our apartments are elegantly furnished, fully equipped with every comfort and well serviced. All our properties are carefully selected, controlled and managed exclusively by us directly. We guarantee that the proposed flats meet our standards of quality in terms of location and services. Fortyseven Hotel

posted by sruthi on 6 August 2009 at 20:40

I recently had a visit to Italy, Rome. We had a chance to stay in a five star luxurious fortyseven hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The staffs were kind and their service was good. The stay was very comfortable with tasty food in their restaurant. My kids liked the continental food in their restaurant. It was very memorable experience.

Leonholidayapartment

posted by HolidayRoma on 20 July 2009 at 12:13

Leon Holiday Apartments is an agency providing holiday apartments for rent in the centre of Rome (Colosseum, Saint Peter Square. Vatican, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona, Campo dè Fiori, Spanish Steps). They have different solutions and are very helpful. After booking they sent me a lot of tips about events in Rome and how to spend my days there. Finally the apartment was well serviced and finely furnished, while the price was a lot lower than an hotel. In my opinion the best way to stay in a city like Rome is to rent an holiday apartment or a bed & breakfast. Moreover Leon Holiday Apartments support your guests in every detail, from choosing the Rome apartment and location suiting you best, assisting you during your Rome vacations and providing with all the useful information to live the city. Additional services as guided visits, transfers or museums reservations. They have suggested to me a list the best restaurants in Rome, in the vicinity of our holiday apartments. Each of the central areas of the city where we are present is characterized by its own traditions and typical restaurants / pizzerias. Make sure to try these restaurants and trattorias during your visit in Rome...I think good food makes traveling even more enjoyable! To more information see the web portal http://www.leonholidayapartments.com The stay has been cheaper and more comfortable than in the Hotel. I suggest everyone who is planning a trip to Rome to rent their apartment.
