I want one of these in my garden! It's a series of sculptures set in the landscaped gardens of a rubbish removal company, and all the items are reclaimed pieces saved from the scrapheap. We were so lucky to get on the tour as they only do it once a month, so apply in advance if you want to see this awesome place.

What I love about visiting San Francisco is that there is always the chance you'll spot something totally off-the-wall and this is the perfect example. It's a small garden with lots of lost or donated shoes planted with flowers into a beautiful and quirky offering!

This garden is just fantastic, my girlfriend and I remember it as the best day we had in SF. There are numerous different gardens to explore, lakes and an arboretum, as well as other attractions we didn't fo in to. The japenese tea garden was a particular highlight, and the tea there was just the ticket after our long walk!
