Iconic in the city, the ferry was such fun! It goes from Fisherman's Wharf to Sausalito and back and the views across the bay and to the bridge are amazing! Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to end up too as there are loads of places to sit, eat or drink, and relax.

This is the most delightul place that I went in SF, and so unexpected! Victorian houses around a lovely square, great views out to the skyscrapers.

Having not been smart and pre-booked alcatraz we decided to head here instead. It was a real surprise how lovely it was, great views, lots of space for the kids to let loose and run free, it was fun just to explore all the winding paths. Take lunch!

My family loved this moving piece of history and tour of san fran all in one! we traveled through chinatown and the financial district and over nob hill, marvelling all the time and the fantastic and archaic workings of the lovely old tram.
