It's really tempting to just stay in Sharm the whole time you're there but I have to say that if you only go one other place, make it here. Then you can carry on diving, in these beautiful suroundings. Lovely mangroves, amazing reefs, there's no excuse not to go!

Just north of sharm, joining a group is the best way to get there

My husband arranged for us to go on a boat trip to this national park which is simply stunning. There was great food and we stopped for snorkelling/swimming. A really memorable day, it's all too easy to just stick to the same routine on holiday but this really did make my trip.

this lovely island makes an ideal day trip with perfect diving areas and a relaxed vibe, we went there a couple of times during our 2 weeks and miss it all sooo much now we're back in the cold.

As experienced divers, my wife and I had heard about the blue hole, a natural really deep hole in the coral just north of sharm. we had to try it and it really was beautiful, but also a bit terrifying. certainly an unforgettable experience, but you do have to be experienced and be able to prove it to go any deeper than 30m.

Dahab, 100km north of sharm el sheikh, just follow the sharm-dahab road, there's so few roads it's pretty easy!
