We were lucky enough to be staying in this area which is so vibrant and arty! The nightlife was great and in the daytime too there's so much to do with great places to eat. Don't miss out on the Balmain Markets, just the spot for some shopping!!

King's Cross

This is a good area to wander through with quite a few cafes and restaurants open during the day. By night though, it really becomes the place to be with hundreds of nightclubs and bars opening up. There is a slightly seedy elemnt here too, and I've certainly never seen so many strip clubs before!

Ivy Bar

The Ivy is a big complex of bars and restaurants and cafes that has something for everyone and is a nice place to spend and evening. The Patio Bar is a good place to start with some great cocktails. The food at Mad Cow is nice and the ivy lounge is a great chill out spot. Dress reasonably smart and don't expect to get in in trainers.

King's Cross

King's Cross gets a bad press for being a fairly seedy and potentially dangerous place - like London's King's Cross. It does however have some great nightspots - bars and clubs... I would say that it's definitely worth not being put off by the negative reputation . It's nothing like as bad as is often made out and it's great fun
