Hyde Park

I live right next to London's Hyde Park so I couldn't miss the Sydney version! It's a beautiful park and the fig-lined walkways are just stunning. Lovely fountains, great place to just hang out for a while enoying life.

Bellevue Park

Gorgeous. You can see my new favourite place in the world from here, Bondi Beach, as well as other lovely views. It's the perfect alternative to cramming on the beach when it's really busy.

Bicentennial Park

My girlfriend and I hired bikes and took ourselves off for a day exploring this park, with our barbecue meat in tow as we'd been tipped off at the hostel that there were free barbecues about, and there are!! The mangroves were great and we saw loads of birds. A lovely day out.

Manly Ferry

I was amazed at how great the views were of the harbour and the city from this really reasonably priced ferry! And then came Manly itself (hilarious name i know) with its amazing beaches and the fabulous sydney harbour national park, i could have spent several days there!

Lane Cove National Park

A lovely quiet park that feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, not the middle of the suburbs. Great to get a change to see some real bushland around the creek-and meet some water dragons too eek! YOu can follow the Great North Walk from here too, but I just didn't have the shoes for it!
