My mates and I were lucky enough to see a couple of matches here at Euro 2004 and so when we came back for a holiday we just had to visit. The design of the stadium is really great, with two 'sails' making it look like it's a huge insect or something!

Magnificent building and a fantastic colleciton of works including Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso which were my favourites. Other highlight was the Henry Moore Sculpture Gallery, just great. I had a lovely peaceful morning here.

Possibly my favourite place in the world, this park is a treaure trove of great things to see. Gaudi has imagined perfection in my mind from vaulted arches to the huge long benches and Drac at the front steps. Plenty of places to sit and eat or drink too so you can really take your time to appreciate the great views over the city as well.

I spent a couple of days travelling in Old Goa, checking out all the old buildings, the cathedral, the arch etc. The strangest and most lovely place I saw was the Church of St Cajetan, modelled partly on St. Peters in Rome and therefore also on St. Paul's in London which I can see from my house!! Surreal but awesome, the church is a delight.

A marvellous place to wander as well as to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal, my boyfriend and I kept finding ourselves gravitiating towards this series of courtyards. Magnificent Jugeldstil architecture, the theatre courtyard was one of my favourites. Be sure to visit in the evening too as it's the place to be come nightfall!
