South beach really embodies the hedonistic party atmosphere that Miami has been known for forever. There are loads of good bars and restaurants around here too. The art deco district is just by the beach and despite the fact that lots of up market brands have moved in, retains its distinctive architecture very much in tact.

The Cathedral bell tower is the iconic building of split. It took three centuries to build and as a result is a bit stylistically confused... You can climb to the top of the tower to get some great views over the town. Whilst you're there, be sure to visit the crypt musueum and the bizarre octagonal St Duhe mausoleum

The old town is really beautiful and the kind of place that rewards not having a map and getting blindly lost. We wondered around for hours and stumbled on lots of lovely little churches, restaurants and bars many of which play live music in the evenings. Look out for the Marmontoro fish market and the Milesi Palace. The People's Square just outside the old town gates is the modern day centre of town and a great spot to head to in the evening.

This is a very popular tourist destination and can get horribly busy. Nonetheless its a wonderfully chaotic and quite beautiful site. In the million square metres that were occupied by the palace, the town has continued to grow up and the effect is very interesting. Make sure you ssee the Peristil and the subterranean vaults.

Stephansdom is the number one sight to see in Viennaand is incredibly beautiful. It has a very gothic facade with a multi coloured tiled roof. Inside its dripping in sculptures and flourishes. We went to Mass inside the catheral on Sunday morning and though we couldn't understand the sermon, the acoustics were amazing and the choir sounded amazing.
