Get it while you can as I heard it might be being razed to make way for new houses! Fantastic venue with loads of art studios, installations and of course somewhere to buy beer in amongst it all.

We didn't spend much time inside on our holiday in Miami to be honest, but we did take a trip to this wonderful artist complex! We bought several things for our house and watched some of the artists at work too. Lovely place.

This beautiful garden was the last work for artist Cesar Manrique and it was completed in 1991. His intention was not educational, but aesthetic and he used the semiburied volcanic monoliths for the main sculptures of the garden. Located in the area of Mala and Guatiza, the garden has about 10,000 different types of cactus and is a hot tourist site. Relax, visit the gift shop and have a terrace lunch, all while taking in the beauty of this restored volcanic quarry.

This is the largest and most impressive art museum in Spain and well worth the day it will take you to tour and appreciate the impressive collection it houses. However, if you only have a limited time, the Museum provides one-hour, two-hour and three-hour tours, selecting what they consider their best works. The museum contains art from all major Spanish artists. The building is massive and the museum is situated in a very attractive neighborhood, so you can experience some of Madrid's must interesting culture. There is free admission during various times of the week and the museum is closed on Mondays.
