Summer Festival

We were lucky enough to be able to visit Larnaca for the Summer Festival this year and our whole family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Loads of musical and performing arts entertainment throughout the town, it's wonderful to see such a vibrant party and get a look at the types of music and dance that are popular here.

Hong Kong Heritage Museum

Absolutely exquisite museum, from the building to the collection it's all wonderful. The museum shows and tells about the history, culture and arts of HK and the southern China region. The opera exhibition was the best in my opinion.

Just outside Geneva city itself, this is the more arty and fun side of the place. A village modelled on Nice, it's the place to go for art, crafts, shopping boutiques and nightlife.

Palau Reial de Pedrables

A wonderful building, with delightful gardens and two great museums, my mother and sister and I had a lovely day here. The Museum of Decorative Arts has some wonderful furiture, ironware and glass, and the Ceramics Museum has some impressive ceramics dating from medieval times to more modern bits.

Hong Kong Cultural Centre

My friend had told me about going to see an amazing show here when she was viaiting but I couldn't find anything to watch the week i was there, bad luck eh? I did mamage to go to the exhibition in the Gallery though which was lovely. The artwork was modern, but not the same as the european modern style, fascinating.
