A giant observatory that represents a sundial, and was built to work out astronomical tables. It's quite magnificent to see how these buildings have shaped astronomy and are realtively unknown among the general public.

The Griffith Observatory is a non-profit space observatory located in Griffith Park. The purpose of Griffith Observatory is to educate the public on astronomy. The park can get a little crowded, but it is free. Their planetarium show is worth going to also. Go to Griffith Observatory ready to learn.
