If you are looking for a great end to a romantic evening while visiting Barcelona, be sure to visit the Magic Fountain. It is a free 15 minute light and water show that is located near the Espagna Metro Station, and it is well worth the trip. It is also great for families to enjoy.

The Barcelona Aquarium is located in Port Vell near the Imax cinema and is one of the city's most visited tourist attractions. They offer a wide array of aquatic life and space can be rented for parties, or field trips. You can even dive with the sharks.

One of Gaudi's most famous works is definitely La Sagrada Familia. A massive church that is so impressive to look at. The unique architecture that Gaudi is so famous for is right here infornt of your eyes that just cant believe how amazing this piece of art is! The construction of the temple commenced in the late eighteen hundred and amazingly enough is still under construction. The church has a number of towers and three façades - the Nativity façade, the Glory façade and the Passion façade. There are many sculptures in the design and believe me one must see to believe that this is a monument of art!

Madrid is such a vibrant and lively city, and the best way to absorb some of the local culture is to visit El Rastro, a giant open air market, where I was able to find just about all the souvenirs that I wanted, from very affordable post cards to locally produced food, such as olive oil.

My children really enjoyed visiting the Barcelona Zoo when we were in the city. In addition to all of the great animal exhibits and habitats, they really enjoyed seeing the albino mountain gorilla that they have there. We have been to many zoos and that, perhaps, is the most unique animal we have ever seen.
