We were taking a little driving tour for a couple of days and came across this delightfully pretty black beach. It's not far from the capital which is ideal for a day trip.

Puerto del Carmen

I had no idea that the diving was so good off the coast of Lanzarote! I'm a qualified diver so just hired the equipment to get in the water and was amazed at the fish and the sea floor. Great!

Beldibi

My boyfriend and I hired a car so we could explore some of the quieter beaches of the area as well as the archaeological sites and we found Beldibi. Apparently populated all the way back to the stone age, we could definiely see why you'd choose to live here!

Yaliskari Beach

Our hotel ran a shuttle bus here throughout the day so it was our local beach on our Corfu trip. The beach is beautiful, and the pine trees provide some much-needed shade in the middle of the day. The sunsets are very lovely.

Acharavi Beach

We were staying in Roda and came here most days. Huge beach, so loads of space to play and relax, and the facilities are great too so you can eat, drink and be merry with minimal effort!
