Chill Beach

My absolute favourite beach in Hurghada, there are hammocks and a bar and a really chilled atmosphere. It's popular with surfers and other chilled types especially in the evenings. You have to pay a small fee but it's worth it especially if you stay all day.

Sharm El Naga

As diving enthusiasts, my girlfriend and I really enjoy exploring new places so we couldn't pass up the opportunity for at least one excursion, and the romantic destination of Sharm El Naga caught our eye. Fabulous reef, great beach too and the tour was good, no rushing etc just relaxation.

Picked up from our hotel, it's to the south of Hurghada

Vera Playa

I was lucky enough to be within walking distance of this lovely long beach on my last holiday to Almeria. The beach is ridiculously long so you can always find somewhere quiet if you want it, but there are bars and hangouts too if you fancy some company or mixing with other people.

Isla Mujeres

This is the island you can see just off the shore of the hotel strip and definitely worth visiting. For the best beach in the whole world (maybe) go left off the ferry and there it is. This is the most chilled out place i've ever been.

False Bay

Whilst we did do a little sightseeing i'm a firm believer that if you're on holiday then you should spend plenty of time on the beach. Less trendy than the atlantic coast, the indian ocean is warm, stunning and inviting and we spent many happy days on the beach here, sticking to the end where the buses come in and the next bay round, Fish Hoek Beach.

where, when, how, web
south of the city, you can get there easily on public transport but a car is easier
