This resort is more peaceful and prettier than Playa Del Ingles. The unique difference is the Maspalomas sand dunes which have been designated a natural reserve and at times feels like you are as remote as in the Sahara.

When we went to Edinburgh this was top of the list with the kids, they loved it. It's a pretty beach, only 3 miles from edinburgh and they totally wore themselves out rushing about and making sand castles. Expect not to be warm, and nobody ventured in the sea after a trial toe-dip!

Bondi Beach! Just the name conjurs up the essence of Australia! The beach is beautiful, if totally rammed, and the surf was great too when I could get a look in! Am guessing it's always like this so give it a miss if you don't want to hang out in the crowd but I couldn't come to Sydney and not go here!

Luckily a bunch of surfers i met at a bar picked me up and lent me a board, but it's not far from the main city bit so i'm guessing quite easy to get to

A lovely private bay you get everything you could need here, sunbeds, clean showers and toilets, food and drinks right there and a watersports centre all surrounding a lovely protected bay so the kids can go off and enjoy themmselves too! Holiday heaven!

Dona Paula Beach is an idyllic spot with a stunning view of the Zuari river and Mormugao Harbour. It is the location where two of Goa's famous rivers meet the Arabian Sea and is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing.
