Olympos

posted by plinton on 25 August 2010 at 16:10

Olympos is a short hop from Antalya and is a lovely beach spot. You can stay in these quaint little tree houses - be careful of your posessions though there have been stories of theft. The walk down to the beach takes you past some ruins and little streams. The beach itself is beautiful and sheltered. There are some great bars and nightclubs in the village and the general vibe is quite deccadent.

Dalyan Tour

posted by dalliman on 25 August 2010 at 15:52

This was a nice day out, if a bit of a crowded affair. we set off quite early in the morning and went to swim in the ocean at a nice secluded cove and we saw a lovely little beach and some really pretty mud baths. There was also a delicious Turkish lunch. I'd say that it would have been much nicer had there not been so many people aboard but a good daytrip nonetheless.

Smuggler's Cove

posted by chooker on 25 August 2010 at 14:07

This is a really beautiful beach and probably the most famous on the island. Its quite secluded and you have to get a boat there but despite this fact, it's generally packed. Great for sunbathing... not so great for swimming as the water gets really cold.

Corniche

The Corniche is the strip that runs along the shore line and a showcase to Abu Dhabi's rising modern skyline. In the winter its a great place to walk, eat, people watch and hit the beach.

South Beach and Art Deco District

posted by lhouston on 18 August 2010 at 14:58

South beach really embodies the hedonistic party atmosphere that Miami has been known for forever. There are loads of good bars and restaurants around here too. The art deco district is just by the beach and despite the fact that lots of up market brands have moved in, retains its distinctive architecture very much in tact.
