About 150 kms off the western sahara you have the canary islands and Gran Canaria is one of the larges islands there, its picture perfect .. and its beaches are heavenly .. my favourite place here is the hotel tourito princess.. the staff are very friendly and go out of thir way to help you .. they have pool for adults ... so if ur a couple its a great place to be in .the beach near by is fantastic. I liked the food here too .. recommended for a weeks stay.

I went there in September 2007, really amazing resort. I took a bungalow, the room was fantastic and clean. The complementary breakfast was good (though dinner and all were so expensive) they have their own private beach. They have a superb swimming pool and I really impressed by their staff service. I would definitely stay there next time.

In the west side of Paphos (Pafos) the Faros Beach is located. Its a sandy beach with a good quality of water. Generally tourists comeover here from April 15th to 31st October as Water Sports, sun bed & umbrellas are available during this period on this beach. There is also a volleyball court on the beach for the tourists. Its a good place for going on a holiday trips.

When I was in Sydney, I was amazed at the skills of the surfers I saw riding in the waves. That is why when I visited Bondi Beach, I decided to take a private surfing lesson at the Let’s Go Surfing School. After only a few hours, they had me up on a board for the smaller waves. It was a real thrill.

For those of you looking for a quiet yet gorgeous beach on the Canary Islands, Famara is for you. For a nice change of pace, this one isn’t jam-packed with locals or tourists like most of the others. The surf is pretty decent. Keep in mind it’s a little out of the way, so you’ll definitely need to hire a car to get there. But I promise you, it’ll be well worth your while.
