This could be one of the most stunning places i've visited, the rocks and the clear water are absolutely gorgeous. Could definitely spend all day just looking out at the view here.

I just thought this building was absolutely wonderful. Ooh what I would give to be able to send my kids to such a place to learn about music. The opulence and the beauty here is one of my holiday highlights.

Staten Island Botanical Garden

A hidden gem, my NY friend took me here and I loved it. Gorgeous gardens, the Ming Chinese Scholar's Garden and Connie Gretz's Secret Garden were my personal highlight. Oooh and the sensory garden. Go!

I think this might just be the most stunning man-made place that i've ever been, I could have stayed all day and kept walking round and discovering more bits. As a slightly odd bonus, you can also learn all about Omar Sharif, who owned the place for less than a day before he lost it in a card game!
