We happened to be on the island for Carnival and it was such fun! Those guys sure know how to party! Costumes, music, dancing we had such an amazing time, waht an unforgettable holiday.

Masquerade Show

Such a fun evening out, felt like we were in rio but las vegas style!! Great acrobats, floats, dancers and we all joined in for a rocking time!

I went here for the the carnival. the carnival in Goa is the very special, as its the only place in India that its celebrated at.Its on for 3 days. One of the best places to stay here is the hotel Mandovi, its a really old place in the capital and if u get a river facing room u can see the carnival from the comfort of ur balcony. Another plus of living at this hotel is the food, its true blue goan food .. and according to our guide "just like home fud men" :D :D great views,location location location and the best view on the river from this one.

Notting Hill Carnival

Carnival weekend is one I really look forward to on the London calendar, (late august). Despite the incredible numbers of people shoehorned into the streets the atmosphere is fun loving and full of smiles. The main attraction is the parade which is as colourful and musical as you'd imagine - those with sensitive ears be warned, it is LOUD! Inside the ring formed by the parade route there is plenty to do and see with music stands and street sellers a plenty. Dancing in the street and the smell of "d erb" abounds without so much as a raised eyebrow from the local constabulary! Jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantain, goat curry - all musts as far as I'm concerned. GO!
