When my wife was at the spa on Crete, I decided to take the children to the Cretaquarium Thalassocosmos, one of the premier aquariums in all of Greece. Since it is only a few years old, everything is very well done, and you can tell they designed it right. Unlike many other aquariums I have visited in the past, this one does not specialize in the fish of the ocean, but rather the inhabitants of the Mediterranean Sea, which was a nice twist.

After we got tired of the beach at Brighton on a recent holiday, my family decided to go to the Booth Museum of Natural History, as it was a great way to cool off. There were tons of great exhibits from across the globe, and interactive exhibits that the kids loved.

While on the smaller side, my young children really enjoyed Mini-Europe when we were vacationing in Brussels. They thought it was really cool to see all of the major European landmarks shrunk down into miniature versions that they could enjoy. Their favorite was the Mount Vesuvius display that really spewed smoke, looking like it was about to erupt.
