NY Chinese Scholar's Garden

A world away from the busy streets in the city that never sleeps. This garden was my favourite part of the Snug Harbor Culture Centre which you can get to by carrying on the staten island ferry to the other side!

Chinese Opera

I had to go to Hong Kong on business so I like to book some cultural evening events to save the boredom of the hotel room or more shop talk, and this was the best thing I saw! I went to a cantonese operatic songs concert so there wasn't a storyline as such I could just enjoy each piece, the costumes and the set. Really enjoyable.

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden

posted by yroby on 21 October 2010 at 09:32

My boyfriend and I came here and were blown away by the gardens, apparently the only ming dynasty-type creation outside china for, like, 400 years. There were so many pretty things, and interesting pools and little buildings round every corner. Just lovely.

where, when, how, web
Chinatown, corner of Carrall Street and Keefer Street, near Stadium Sky Train.
