I absolutely adored the old town with its quaint cobbled streets, lovely little churches and the grand old fortress. Perfect for wandering, grabbing a drink or a bit to eat, or just for relaxing.

We drove around the area and really fell in love with the numerous quaint little churches. The highlight was the Church of St Cajatan, it's a mini St. Peter's from Rome! Totally surreal but really amazing.

Great hill fort, you can get amazing views from the battlements and the churches and cemetery are great for looking around too. Off the ordinary tourist track, which makes it even more worth seeing in my book.

My man and me made a little trip to the two islets you can see from Kanoni, the little viewing site to the south of Corfu. Bit of a mission, especially getting the ferry boat to mouse island but the chapel there and the monastery of vlakherna were definitely worth it. So special to be looking round these places virtually alone.

You can't really argue with a place so grand that once was home to Ivan the Terrible can you? The Kremlin is amazing, so much to see. The amount of gold on the domes and churches has to be seen to be believed. Highlights were the Annunciation Cathedral and the Armoury Palace.
