The Sydney Opera house is the most iconic sight in the town. Even if you're not a fan of the opera or ballet its well worth shelling out on a ticket to this truly unique venue. Performances are world class.

Even if you're not into opera the Teatro Real is a must for a trip to Madrid. With all the grandeur, you'll feel like your sitting alongside Spain's Golden Age monarchy.

Whenever I travel to a new city, I like to do my best to learn about their history, culture, and customs, and after speaking to the front desk of my hotel in Crete, I learned that the Lychnostatis Open Air Museum, was a great place to do that. Their exhibits take you on an audio and visual tour through the life of the people of Crete, and how it has changed through the years.
