Punjabi by Nature

posted by DVC_Chris on 27 August 2009 at 01:34

When visiting Delhi, I always enjoy having authentic Indian cuisine by eating at Punjabi by Nature, which has fast and affordable meals. They have tons of great curry, and the portion sizes are huge. They also take the Punjabi traditions of hospitality to the extreme, making it a great place for a great meal.

Hotel Swati

posted by Shaon on 7 August 2009 at 12:12

My stay in Delhi was made very special by Hotel Swati. The location of the hotel is good with the metro being 10 minutes away and the markets, the shopping centers and the major attractions being close to it. The room had all the amenities that I expected it to have and was quite large and comfortable. Suruchi, the restaurant was very good with all the different options of food. The vegetarian food was very tasty. The only downside is the noise outside the hotel but otherwise I loved the hotel.

Hotel Rahul Palace

posted by Shaon on 4 August 2009 at 21:51

Value for money is what you get from the Hotel Rahul Palace. It is well located, with most of the sights in Delhi being close to the hotel. The members of the staff are very friendly and good at their tasks. The rooms are very average sized with adequate furniture. The bathroom is clean and quite spacious. With plenty of food options to choose from, there really is something that everybody would love. Overall, the service rendered by the management and its staff is something that would definitely bring me back to this hotel.

Red fort is one of the well known & remarkable fort not only in Delhi but also in whole India. It is built out of red sand stone. The fort is around 3 Kms in perimeter and the height of the wall varies from 18-30 meters. The Mughal Emperor Shahjahan started the work of Red Fort in the year 1638 & completed it in 1648. Every year on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August, the Prime Minister of India adresses the nation from here. It is also known famously by the name Lal Quila.

Jama Masjid

posted by Shaon on 3 June 2009 at 18:10

Recently I had a chance to visit Delhi and most of my sightseeing experience was in the streets of old Delhi. In all the fantastic architectures that I got to visit, The Jama Masjid was one of them. Built by emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century, this is the largest Mosque in India. With a beautiful ambiance to it, this sandstone architecture is worth a visit.
