I've never been so extraordinay in my life! This is a vast desert preserve dotted with lush areas teeming with palm trees and life thanks to the life giving water from the San Andreas fault. Wonderful and memorable day out.

Wow. I think that's all I could say whilst I was walking around and I stand by my judgement. Oh and sandy.

This was such a big hit with the kids that we actually did 2 trips on different days. A really fun excursion, good value for money, and an unforgettable experience. When you get into the sand dunes you could be in the middle of the Sahara!

It towers over the resort and when you climb to the top you really can see everything, what beautiful colours the sea is, and seeing so much of the desert and the mountains is pretty fabulous. And all for free!

We got taken on a guided walk in the early morning through one of the 'lost' settlements in the desert and it was beautiful and memorable.
