This place is fairly well known in Montreal as THE place to have breakfast. It serves everything in extra large and super delicious - crepes, omelettes, fruit salads, it's all delicious and the perfect way to set yourself up for a day of sightseeing

Strictly for the Seinfeld fans, this is the restaurant that was Monk's cafe in the TV series. The front is pretty much the same though the inside shots were shot in LA, it's not really touristy and is mainly full of Columbia University students.

This place is much more recommended by its great atmosphere and bustle than by the food itself. True, the sandwiches are absolutely enormous. I took at least two thirds of my steak sandwich home in a doggie bag as there was no way of possibly finishing it.

This is probably the most famous sandwich shop in the world and has attracted people in flocks for decades now to try the pastrami and pickle sandwich that it's so famous for. There are other things on the menu besides sandwiches and I had a really tasty soup. for film geeks, this is the cafe where Meg Ryan and Billy Cristal ate in 'When Harry Met Sally'

If you are a pancake freak like I am, this is the place for you. Just a quick 6 miles outside of Boston. I originally found out about the Deluxe Town Diner from watching a food network on pancakes. They went all over the USA looking for the best pancakes and this was one of the places on the short list. The pancakes are a slice of heaven made with sour cream and buttermilk, straight up, no b.s. pancakes. Just add butter and maple syrup and you are done. They need nothing else because they are that good. They serve other things as well, but go there for the pancakes. You will not be disappointed.
