This is without a doubt the best neighbourhood in Barcelona. I love the care that went into the streets, the architecture and most of all the Gaudi creations. I always stay here.

Lan Kwai Fong

I was travlleing in Hong Kong alone and was "adopted" for a few days by some local 20somethings. They took me on a night out in the Lan Kwai Fong district and we had a total blast, notwithstanding that our communication got even worse as we got more and more drunk!!

Bairro Alto

My boyfriend and my favourite district, lovely and atmospheric with plenty of cool things to see in the day and then by night it really comes alive with 'fado' cafes playing traditional portuguese music.

Meatpacking District

It's difficult to imagine that where today you see trendy shop-lined cobbled streets, galleries and quirky cafes was before home to hundreds of slaughterhouses and that the streets probably ran red with blood at one point! A great place to walk round there's a great mix of things to see with buildings old and new, great shopping and even beter people watching from an obliging cafe.

Amherst Street

Stroll around the district surrounding Amherst Street and visit the antique shops. The southern end of the street affords a striking view of the elegant Clock Tower.
