Wow, I never knew there was a real Egyptian Temple in Madrid!! Shipped over in pieces when it was removed from Egypt to escape the Aswan High Dam flooding, it now occupies a stunning spot boasting views of the gardens towards the Palacio Real.

When my wife and I were in Lisbon, looking for a good museum to spend an afternoon, the hotel concierge suggested we try out the Gulbenkian Museum. I really enjoyed it because has some amazing Egyptian antiques, as well as art dating back to the Persian Empire. It was a very enlightening trip.
