Knotts Berry Farm

A great family-friendly place to go that's not too ridiculously expensive or too busy. We had such a fun day out here there were rides to suit all of us from the super brave to the small and scaredy!

Lisbon Zoo

The last time I was in Lisbon, I decided to look for something fun to do with my kids, so my wife and I took them to the Lisbon Zoo. While they are in the process of modernizing the zoo, there are some great exhibits, such as the new lion area, and the dolphin show.

Griffith Observatory

When I was looking for a family friendly attraction in Los Angeles that was not a theme park, or a motion picture studio, one of my friends suggested Griffiths Observatory. It is a free space and science museum, that has lots of great hands on exhibitions that the kids loved, plus we got to see the planetarium show, which they also loved.

Oceanarium

One of my family’s favorite activities in Bournemouth is the Oceanarium. It is a great aquarium, plus it is fairly inexpensive, so its easy on the wallet. They have fish from all over the world, but my kids favorite is the tunnel through the Great Barrier Reef habitat, as they love seeing the Clown Fish from Finding Nemo.
